Yes I know this is the third post in one day, but I just had such an amazing time I have to tell you about it.
I was well on my way to bed, I know, I know it's still early, but I was exhausted from working all day. Anyway, on my way upstairs Karin stopped me and said: "Hey Kim, I'm going out for a midnight walk wanna join me?" I couldn't resist.
As you all know Karin and I are on break from Florida and we don't have a bit of snow clothes. So we put on our warmest sweats and then over that we put on Karin's scrub pants. I used socks for mittens and Karin wrapped plastic garbage bags around her legs to keep the snow out. Yeah, we looked pretty good!
Once outside we walked up and down our lane and then Karin had a brilliant plan. She decided we should go to the middle of the road (not our private lane, but the real road) and lie down in the middle of it. That was great until the cars came and we almost died. (the cars had a real hard time stopping suddenly on the ice)
After that Karin wanted to fall straight back into the snow. Well, I watched her do it so gracefully and then I tried it. I must weigh allot more than her because I sank straight to the ground and got the wind knocked out of me. In fact my head is still hurting from it. We told each other our deepest, darkest secrets and giggled like little kids. Then Karin spied her car buried in about ten inches of snow. As she attempted to scrape it all off with her boot I started throwing snowballs and Kelsey and Kaylie's window trying to wake them up. I found out that if the snow does not pack well just spit on it and then let it freeze. I know, that's not very ladylike, but it works!!!!
Ahhhhh Karin just made me a cup of cocoa with Hershey's syrup...so much for my diet. I must be off, I still have more secrets to tell my sister!

Good times, good times, sister dear. Let's go hit those treadmills now, eh?
I'm missing the snow. *sniff sniff* But I wore shorts and flip flops this week and it felt awesome!
Is the snow deep enough to fall straight back into it?! Ouch!
I was ignoring you at first when you threw snow on our window, but you just wouldn't stop doing it! You were so very considerate of us:)
hmmmm...
there's nothing like the hollow thump of snow against a windowpane--I think Beka has finally stopped waking me up that way the first snow-morning of each season. Most considerate.
hey...can you send me some of the pictures from seattle?
glad you had fun in the snow. :-)
You girls never fail to make me laugh. I just don't know where you come up with these ideas! I love to fall into the snow and make snow angels but hello the snow as to be at least a foot deep or very solid before I will even think of risking my precious head and rear by throwing them backwards onto the ground! You know there might be a rock down there or something! Silly girls. I wonder if having sisters might have made me a little less practical or would I still have ended up as ultra practical me shaking my head at the antics of the rest??? I wonder...I will just have to try and take lessons from all of you so that if I ever have children I won't be freaking out all the strange things they think up to do. I will be able to think, "The Seben's girls did some pretty strange things like lay in the middle of the road on ice in the middle of the night and they surived so maybe my children will be ok!" or maybe not...maybe not on second thought it sounds even worse the second time around. I think I will have to get large locks for the doors to make sure everyone stays in at night... LOL
