Basketball is here!!!

And it's not leaving for a loooooong time. There is nothing I would rather do on the weekends than to watch my brother and his teammates play basketball. All of the jumping, shooting, passing, stealing, rebounding and everything else gets me more excited than just about anything!

I've watched my brother start playing at age 8 for the Boys & Girls Club and then watched him move up to 3 on 3, school ball and AAU. It's funny how one year you're watching your little brother and his cute, little teammates as they try to figure out how to spin a ball on their fingers and then the next year you're watching tall, huge, young men taking turns dunking the ball. I can't believe it; they are almost all taller than me! (Josiah has about an inch to go though, I keep telling him he's never going to catch up to me:)

This past weekend was the Lynden tournament. Lynden and we are BIG rivals, which makes it all the more excited! The first game we won by a ton. The second game was against Lynden, we started out ahead with a score of 18 to 0, but slowly, Lynden crept back and ended up beating us. Now we only had ONE more shot at the championship. In order to win it we couldn't lose anymore games. AND WE DIDN"T! We are the champion's of the 2005 Lynden, AAU, Basketball Tournament! Everyone did such a great job; it was a total blast to watch them. And I have to say all of us fans did a pretty good job ourselves! Kelsey and I by far screamed the loudest and sometimes our screaming voices would blend together which made it twice as loud!
After the game, to celebrate, we all went DQ and got Blizzards which all the boys deserved after playing so many games!

CONGRATULATIONS PACIFIC RIM VIKINGS, YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll have to come watch one of Josiah's games again . . . now that I know what's going on! :-)
