Happy Day

What a good day! More like good week, month, year so far! Let's see if it keeps going on like this, I hope it does. The sun was gorgeous today and so was the rain. I love it when it rains and shines all at once. Your hair and clothes are soaked, but you don't care because everything is still bright and happy. Right now my hair is still trying to dry off from the downpour earlier today; it's turning into one good looking bird's nest if you ask me!

I ran into Kevin today, surprise, surprise, I run into him every day!

I yelled hi to Nate from across the street, everyone else who was walking nearby turned and stared at us. I hope I didn't embarrass him.

Went on a date with my Dad, I love my Daddy!

Jim-Ray and his girlfriend brought down tons of candy, while Starbucks brought over boxes and boxes of scones and cookies. Ya'll should see my stomach, it's miles!

A guy was terribly upset in front of the bridal store this afternoon, it seems like no one would believe him that he was getting married.

I kept seeing this guy walk past Logos and I kept thinking he was Mark Reimers, but unless Mark has gotten his ears pierced it wasn't him.

Whoever is causing all of the accidents on the Axton please kindly stop. It's hard to keep your ice cream from melting when you're sitting in your car for 3 hours....good thing I didn't have any ice cream with me...but I'm sure someone did.

Stay happy and strong everyone and like a good friend just told me yesterday "Life ain't no walk in the park kiddo, when the going gets tough, the tough gets going". I'm not sure what he was talking about, but it sounded like something to pass along. Oh, and my new goal is to learn how to use a fire extinguisher, believe me, it’s something important to know!

Personality Quiz

I received an e-mail at work requesting we take a personality test/quiz. Unknowing that this test was only for management and the development department I jumped right in and took it. The result was my answers being sent to some company where they processed over 60 pages all about me and my characteristics. I was surprised that most of the stuff they came up with was pretty true.

Here are just a few of the things they said about me:

Kimi is optimistic about her ability to influence people to her way of thinking, She may not understand why everyone doesn't see life as she does! (Amen!)

Kimi likes to get results through others. She is at her best when she has people working with her.(and for her!)

Flattery will always generate a positive reaction from her (duh!). She is good at creating enthusiasm in others. She is usually filled with good intentions, but often lack the time to fulfill them.

She will not be overlooked nor uninvolved, Kimi tends to deal with problems and challenges in a demanding, driving and self-willed manner. She likes a position with authority.(of course)

Kimi's natural style is to use persuasion and emotion to the extreme (otherwise known as manipulation....bad). She will convince you that what she is saying is not only right, but is exactly what is needed.

Kimi does not like constraints, at times she can be somewhat defiant. She seeks adventure and wants to be seen as her own person.

Kimi is able to walk the line between following rules and bending the rules, and knowing the difference. She surprises others with spontaneous ideas or responses.

When working with Kimi don't overcontrol the situation, don't take credit for her ideas, don't talk down to her(I hate that), don't ask useless or rhetorical questions, don't be curt, cold or tight-lipped.

And it goes on and on and on for a looooong time! So what do you think? Are these things true about me?

David's Bridal

Sigh.....
Beautiful white dresses, bridesmaid dresses, sparkling diamond rings, jewelry everywhere, hairstyles, shoes, ah yes...lots of shoes, and mirrors, tons and tons of mirrors. Girls in love everywhere, trying on their dream wedding gown, laughing with their friends and talking on their cell phones to their fiancé’s.

It's a girl’s world!

What is Wrong With Me?

I've been acting so stupid this past week, I think it's time I sought professional help.
Here are a few examples:

I've forgotten to bring lunch to work with me for the past two days.

I stopped in the middle of the stairs for a second and then couldn't remember if I was going up or down.

I got turned around while driving to the mall.

I missed my exit on my way home.

I wasted so much time in the parkade because I couldn't remember on which floor I had parked my car.

I forgot my name when I answered the phone at work.

I ask someone a question and while they are answering me my mind wanders and I don't hear a thing they say, this happened at least 4 times today.

I ran into the same door twice.

Those are just a few of the really dumb things I've done recently. I think someone needs to hit me on the head.....hard.
