Hey Y'all
Howdy everyone! How are things over in Whatcom County? Probably the same when I left it this morning:) I actually got up at 3:45, can you believe that? The ride over was smooth and easy. I got to drive part of the way and I would like to say it was the most I have ever driven at one time.....A WHOLE 2 HOURS!!!!! That is really quite pathetic, I think I need to go on a long road trip just so I know what it's like to have to drive for a long time.
Once we got to Moscow and stepped out of my car it felt like we had entered an oven. It's nearing one hundred degrees, I LOVE IT!!! We got to go swimming for a while, shopped at the mall and also ran into some old friends. When we got to our gorgeous Hotel (I'm serious, this place is awesome) I was going back and forth between our rooms. One time, while I was skipping merily down the hall (there is something fun about running down hotel hallways isn't there?) I crashed into some guy. He was like "Oh, hi Kimi, how's it going? I had no idea who he was! I didn't want to admit that so I smiled and said "It's going great, see ya!" Maybe I'll find out who he is tonight at the rehearsal dinner:)
Gotta get going, it's almost time for the rehearsal and I don't even have half of my makeup on yet! TTFN!!!
P.S. Kati, Kristi, Karin, Kelsey, Kaylie and I all in a hotel room together...hmmm anyone else agree that we are going to have an absolute blast? No sleep for us tonight:)
Happy Summer Days
Don't all of you just LOVE summer? It is by far the best season of all!!! Of course, I would be extra happy if it were about 15 degrees warmer than it has been, but I'll take whatever I can get. Its days like these when I really start to envy the people who work outside, but then I remember how lucky I am to work inside during the winter. I think that since we didn't even get summer weather until after July 4th that summer is going to last until the beginning of October. How does that sound? We could all refuse to get out our fall clothes, coats and scarves and stay in shorts, tank-tops and flip-flops forever!!!!!!
I think the best part of summer is going to the lake or the bay. Both places are perfect. Last week Kelsey, Josiah, Kaylie and I went to Birch Bay. We all had so much fun. The tide was out so we all had to wear our sandals until we got the the water. Once we were there we din't need them anymore. So we built a mountain out of sand and stuck our sandals on top. We were having so much fun that we totally forgot the tide was coming in. We were able to save all of our sandals except Kaylies, they are somewhere in the ocean right now. They were really cute too, all pink and pretty, sniff, sniff....
Hope all of you are enjoying your summer as much as I am and remember drink 1 1/2 glasses of water each day!

My Hallway
Have you ever tried sleeping in a hallway before? I have, every single night of my life for the past 5 years! Somehow when we moved to Washington everyone but Josiah and I got a normal room. Joey got the laundry room and I was honored with the third floor hallway. To be honest that’s what I had wanted and Mom gave it to me when I asked for it.
For the first three years and it was great fun. That was because I was always the last one in bed and nobody would wake me up during the night. Now I'm the first one in bed and right about the time I'm closing my eyes Kelsey and Kaylie decide to brush their teeth (the bathroom is about 4 feet away from my bed) Nothing wrong if you tiptoe across my hallway right? Of course not! Problem is they don't tiptoe; they turn on the light, crash into my desk while telling jokes to each other. When they finally are done they both go to bed and Kaylie decides she wants to listen to an Odyssey. That's fine too, only thing is that it's a cd and they aren't like tapes. Cd's go on and on and on until someone gets up and turns them off. That person is of course........me.
Kelsey and Kaylie are in bed, asleep, ahhh....now it's my turn to close my eyes.
KRISTI'S HOME!!!!
Kristi likes her tea at night and she has a horrid habit of leaving the tea kettle on. Soon, I hear the kettle screaming louder than anything while Kristi is out in her car looking for her tea bags. Down the stairs I run, praying no one else is waking up. I mumble something to Kristi about her burning the house down and then stumble back to bed.
Well, what do ya know Karin just got called off work (she works night shift) she is wide awake from sleeping all day so she takes Kristi's laptop, plops down on her bed, in her room which is right next to my room and starts watching "Phantom Of The Opera." Now, I love "P.O.T.O. just not at 1:00 in the morning! Kristi comes walking up the stairs drinking her tea (and spilling it)
"Oh! I just love this song" she exclaims. She's just heard the music from POTO coming through the walls in her and Karin's room.
Kristi starts singing.
When Kristi sings it takes about three hours to make her stop. I give up; I sit up, turn on my lamp and begin reading a book. After a while I join Kristi and Karin in their room and watch POTO with them. We are having such a good, jolly time until Kelsey pokes her head in the room and says;
"Guys, please be quiet, you woke me up."
My Grandma from the middle floor yells up to us;
"You kids still up? I mean it now, go to bed!"
My mom from two stories down comes into room.
"What are you girls up to at this time of night? Kimi?! I thought you said you were going to bed early. What are you doing still up?"
We all go to bed only to wake up an hour later for breakfast.
Key Update
I know you’ve all been worried sick about my keys so I’ll give you all an update. I decided to call up the post office and ask them if they had turned up yet. I had no idea there where so many post offices in Bellingham! It was such a problem trying to find the phone number for the right one, but eventually I did. When I asked the secretary if they had been returned she said “Oh! You mean the ones with the frog key chain?”
I was so excited I thought for sure she had found them.
“No, sorry, they never showed up.”
SIGH.
So my lunch break shall be spent copying my spare care key and Kelsey’s work keys. I’ve become very good friends with the people at the key place, in fact when I leave they call out, “Bye Kimi, see you in a couple weeks!”
Surprise!!
TA DA!!!!!!!
Happy birthday little sister!!
I present you with......(drum roll please)....LINKS!!!
At long last, you now have the absolute best function of blogging--Links!
I finally remembered that your username was "orangejello" and your password was "bimhopper," Pretty clever huh?
See ya later Kimi---no pay or thanks needed! Consider it your late birthday present!
Your loving sister,
Kristiana
Legally Blond
Legally blond, yep, that’s what I am right now. Are you all ready for what I have to tell you? Okay, here goes..........
MY KEYS ARE GONE FOR THE FOURTH TIME IN FOUR MONTHS!!! The first two times I simply locked them in my car, which isn't all that bad. I mean everyone locks their keys in their car now and then. The third time I lost them somewhere in the theatres while watching "Kingdom Of Heaven", they are still missing to this very day. That meant I had to get a whole new set of keys.
I bet you'll never guess what happened this time or where they are now....HALF WAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY!!!!!!!!! That's right, as I was taking the mail to the post office I put my keys in the mail bin so I could have a hand free to talk on my cell. BAD IDEA! I dropped the mail off, oblivious to the fact that my keys where still inside. I walked all the way back to Logos before realizing what I had done. I ran back to the post office only to be told that as of three minutes ago my keys had been loaded onto a truck with all the mail and headed to who knows where! HELP I'M KEYLESS, I'LL BE STUCK AT LOGOS UNTIL I DIE.
Will someone please bring me a tall, nonfat, sugar free, vanilla latte with whip, to make me feel better? Thank-you.
They're driving me crazy!
Urgh! Someone please tell me how to make a mosquito bit stop itching. They are driving me crazy! All the bites on my feet and legs are from the Jennings’s picnic and the ones on my arms are from tubing on Lake Whatcom. Is it true mosquito's are attracted to perfume? I would gladly not wear any if it meant keeping them away. Last night I couldn't sleep they were itching so badly. I finally went downstairs around 2:00am and asked my Mom if she had anything for them. She did have a little stick pen thing that worked really well, but stupid me I left it at work today. So tonight I expect to not get any sleep.
Just to let everyone know though, all the mosquito bites I have are totally worth all the fun I had. Starting from last Thursday to yesterday night were the best days yet this year. Mainly because Kristi, Kelsey, Lydia and I got to go tubing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!! I LOVE TUBING!!
